Alfa Romeo Museum

After a lengthy closure the Alfa Romeo Museum is finally open again.

The Museum has undergone a complete renovation to coincide with Alfa romeos revival with the new Giulia, Stelvio and 4C.                                                                                       Located just outside Milan in Arese, the Museum is jam packed with cars, spread over six floors that are dedicated to the History of Alfa Romeo in Past, Present and Future and all its achievements in Motorsport, Design and Technology. 

The Exhibit is divided into three Categories, those being Timeline, Beauty and Speed 

 

Timeline. 

Founded 106 years ago, The Timeline of Alfa Romeo is rich with history from the 1910 A.L.F.A 24HP, to the 2006 8C Competition,                                                                                         A journey which includes the exemplary era of the Twenties and Thirties, the developments after WWII, the Glorious generation of the Giulia and Giulietta, Awesome Seventies that introduced the Alfetta and Alfasud to the world. rounding off to more recent times with the 75, 164 & 156. 

Complimenting the cars on display are pictures of the factories where the vehicles came to Fruition and photos of the workers who, designed, built and led the company at the time.  

Beauty

Two floors are dedicated to Designs that helped cement alfa reputation for Beauty, famous coach builders like Castagna, Touring, Bertone, Pininfarina, Italdesign and of course Zagato who helped the evolution of aerodynamics and new construction techniques in alfa romeo. 

Some of the concepts include the beautiful Alfa 2000 Sportiva Coupe, Jaw dropping 1900 C52 Disco Volante Spider and Iconic wedge shaped Carabo. 

Beauty doesn't just apply to Concepts though, It also applies to the dozen or so Guliettas and Giulias that has helped define the company for its design. 

Alfa Romeo also have a small section dedicated to Film. which of course has to mention the star role in the Graduate. 

Speed. 

The museum wouldn't be complete without a tribute to Alfa Romeos success in Motorsport and the legend of the Quadrifloglio, from the Mille Miglia winner Nuvolari with his 6C 1750 Gran Sport too Juan Manuel Fangio's 159 "Alfetta 159" F1 car and Championship 33 TT 12 driven by Carlo Chiti. 

The collection of also includes the GTA racers from the 1970s and 80s and a 1993 155 V6Ti From the golden era of DTM.

 

 

Finally the Museum also features an Interactive Section with 360 degree Virtual Reality footage from a 4C at Barocco Test Track and a 4D Cinema dedicated to the history of alfa

 

Entry to the Museum cost €12 and Opening times are from ( 10am - 6pm ) expect on Tuesdays when the museum is closed.
